Ramadan 2027 if you live in Saudi Arabia

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and the month of fasting, from true dawn to sunset. In 2027 it falls in late winter, from 8 February 2027 to about 8 March 2027, so the fasts are fairly short: around 12 hours 30 minutes in Riyadh at the start and 13 hours 7 minutes at the end.

The first night of Ramadan, with the first taraweeh prayer, begins at sunset the evening before the first fast: Sunday, 7 February 2027 if the month starts as expected.

Where the dates come from

Dates come from the Umm al-Qura calendar table, tested against the official table for every month of 1440–1450 AH. The official start is the one announced after the moon sighting. Fasting hours are astronomical estimates for Riyadh (dawn with the sun 18.5° below the horizon, as in the Umm al-Qura timetable). How we calculate dates.
